The Milwaukee Film Festival presents Capturing the Flag

The second screening of the documentary Capturing the Flag will take place on October 27 at 1pm at the Milwaukee Film Festival. In the film, a group of volunteers across the country mobilized to work on voter protection three months before the 2016 election - to observe elections and to assure that all those who wished to vote were legally allowed to do so. Laverne Berry, Steven Miller, and Claire Wright headed to North Carolina. What they found at the polls serves as both a warning and a call to action for anyone interested in protecting the "One Man, One Vote" fundamental of our democracy.

Producer and subject of Capturing the Flag Laverne Berry and Director Anne de Mare will take part in a post-screening discussion of the film.
