Virtual Thin Line Fest presents Capturing The Flag
Friday, March 27, 8:30pm
In-person events are cancelled, this film will be shown online
Post-screening Q&A with director Anne de Mare via Skype
Thin Line Fest has cancelled all in-person events and is now hosting virtual screenings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The documentary Capturing The Flag will be shown online on March 27 at 8:30pm. This film tells the deeply personal story of four friends who travel to Cumberland County, NC – named “poster child” for voter suppression – intent on proving that the big idea of American democracy can be defended by small acts of individual citizens. Through the intimate experiences of the film’s volunteers we are inspired to vote, to help someone else vote, and to get personally involved in protecting our endangered civic life.
After the viewing of the film, there will be a question-and-answer period with director Anne de Mare via Skype.
There will be a second screening of Capturing The Flag on Saturday, March 28 at 1pm online as well.
